If you've ever gone to A-kon [link] in Dallas, chances are, you've seen the Geishabot. If you've pre-registered, you've probably wore her as she's most commonly found on your membership badge. I'm not sure who originally came up the idea but I do know that ~Artraccoon has drawn her the most.
Why did I decide to draw my version? Well, ever since I saw the robot girl for the Svedka vodka ads, I couldn't help thinking that maybe it was time for a more technologically up-to-date Geishabot. It just gnawed at me until finally I whipped out the pencils waiting around for Paul's band concert Tuesday, inks Wednesday, and coloring today. Some pictures just made you want to finish them. Her kimono features the bluebonnet, the state flower of Texas and her obi features a lovely pattern of gears. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I really like the way you designed the body(such as making her waist match what I am sure the ideal is for a Geisha), yet made the face as human as possable.
