If you've trolled thru my Scraps, you may have come across the rough sketches for a future story called "Human Honeymoon." It was just the thing for this month's MGC: Mirror/Species Switch.

"You know," Ariana said as she twined her arms around his neck, "when we get back to Manhattan, Alex will be able to turn us back. Elisa says that NYPD has written your little adventure off as a gangland raid gone bad." Before he could dwell on the past, she kissed him and asked with a pert smile on her lips, "So, are you going to miss this?"
"Being human?" Kirin rolled his eyes and puffed out his upper lip even though he didn't have fish whiskers. "What's to miss? No wings, weak body, poor eyesight," Ariana smirked at this -- they'd discovered that he had astigmatism and had probably been so for years until the species change had revealed it, "no, bishoujo, there's very little I'll miss about this."
"Oh, really? What about hanging out in bookstores and sucking down cappuccinos?"
"Mochacchinos," he conceded, "and chocolate-almond biscotti."
"Chocolate fiend."
"Still, I will not miss them." He pulled her closer. "This is what I'll miss most -- being able to look into your eyes right before I kiss you."
Kirin's little "adventure" huh? This should be interesting.

"All poets adore thunderstorms, tornadoes, conflagrations, ruins, scenes of spectacular carnage. The poetic imagination is therefore not at all a desirable quality in a chief of state." W. H. Auden
This is a gorgeous picture of them, and the little snippet just sets it off. They both look wonderful as humans, so different and yet so totally similar. I especially love the colouring on Kirin's hair

"As useful as a two-pronged cactus would be... I DON'T wanna put it in my pants."
Oooooo, this is very nice, and having the dual pose of them in gargoyle and human form is a very neat touch. Don't know which I like more, as they make an incredible couple either way.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
