I'll admit that pugs are not one of my favorite dogs. They're bug-eyed and their faces look like they've been smacked with a shovel. However, after reading 'Making Money' by Terry Pratchett, pugs have been a little more likeable to me.

This one is going in my portfolio for teaching the art merit badge this summer. I'm thinking of having the boys draw their favorite pet.

DEEP BREATH. DEEP BREATH. DEEP BREATH.

OK, to re-iterate:

Pugs are NOT dogs. They are small, slightly misshapen people who are here to bring world peace. Their adorable eyes show intellect and empathy, their flat faces are much more charming than anything with a snout. They are designed for companionship and are small works of perfection. We can only hope to achieve the spiritual level of a pug in our own journey through existence!

My pugs will be over shortly to demand that you show the proper reverence. All seven of them. And the army is continuing to grow.....
