Tengu Mozuby ~MommySpike

Anthro / Traditional Media / Drawings

The theme of this year's A-kon was 'Yokai' and I toyed with the idea of submitting a Texas tengu, using a mockingbird as a model. The ironic thing is that Mozu, my shy tengu apprentice healer from my Gargoyles fanfics was originally based on the northern shrike, which is sort of a Japanese mockingbird, if you will. (They fall into the same bird category, who knew?)

So when I was doodling in my new sketchbook, I was thinking about that and this is what came out of my pencil. If I were to go back and re-design my character to be more realistic and less cartoony, this is what Mozu would look like.
