Where did the time go?

It's been an insane few weeks. I did two illos for the Gathering 'Hotel Cabal' Anthology. Unfortunately, unless Christine has gotten some late entries, I have the only art in the book and I use the term 'book' loosely. In order to justify the publishing costs, they have to have a certain number of pages (10 stories plus art) and it looks like that's not going to happen. Christine is thinking about releasing the anthology as a .pdf instead and that's a shame.

If you've been looking in on my LJ, you'll know that quite a lot of my attention has been focused on my son Paul. He was riding in a friend's car on their way home from scouts, going WAY too fast when his friend lost control of the car and smashed it into an overpass bridge support. We drove by it last night while it was still light and if they hadn't hit the thing head-on, one of them would have been dead on the spot. *shudders*

Neither boy was seriously injured and Paul has mostly recovered. His knee is still giving him a little trouble, mostly from going up and down stairs at school, but it just needs a little more time.

Meanwhile, I'm booked into A-kon [link] and AnthroCon [link] so I'm in pre-con art production mode. To this end I'm also doing april_drawing over on LiveJournal. There's also MGC and this month's theme is Gargs Down Under -- draw an original Australian gargoyle or take your garg characters on a vacation there. The month's half over and there's no entries yet!
